Drugs used in pediatric dentistry in clinical practice | Presentation By Me

During my internship, the head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr Ashik Qureshi Shanto asked me to prepare a presentation for the “Continuing Dental Education Program”. So I selected the topic named “Drugs used in Pediatric Dentistry in clinical practice”. It was an approach to let the newcomers learn the medication protocol for pediatric patients. It also refers to popular trade names of common pediatric medicines available in Bangladesh.

I also tried to describe the actual method of calculating the dose of pediatric medication as toddlers can not intake tablets like elders. Therefore we consider suggesting them syrups, the dose of which is rather hard to calculate.

It is important to mention that, the presentation is based on the guideline of American Association of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

Here is the presentation that I prepared for “Continuing Dental Education Program”. If you have any questions regarding it, please let me know in the comments and pm. Thanks.

Note: Please consider that, I uploaded this presentation only for those who are concerned with pediatric treatment. The author (me) is not anyhow responsible for any misuse of this guideline.
